Spotlight on Moses & Martha!
Your monthly donation will go to impact Moses and Martha and children like them. Precious souls rescued from the prison system and now taken in by the Bwerenga community and being educated by the Hope International School. Help us continue the healing by praying & donating monthly! This story comes from Emily Ryan. She is a wonderful young woman who worked on the ground in Uganda with the organization Sixty Feet, bringing hope and restoration to imprisoned children in Africa in Jesus' name. Emily spent much time with the school community in Bwerenga. She saw first hand the children taken in and rescued by Sixty Feet from the prison system and embraced by this school. Your donations help support and make it possible for formerly imprisoned children to get an education. Moses and Martha, brother and sister, were living on the streets of Kampala with their mom. Everyday their mom would take them to beg on the streets in order to have food to eat. One day city authorities came through the city, as they regularly do, and picked up all the street children, taking them to the M1 prison. Upon arrival at the M1 prison, Sixty Feet staff immediately identified that Martha was severely malnourished. Therefore, Sixty Feet worked with the government to remove Moses and Martha from the prison, wanting to keep them together since they were siblings. Sixty Feet worked with Mama Catherine and Pastor Earnest in Bwerenga, who immediately said "Yes, we will take them into our home!" Mama Catherine and Pastor began feeding, loving, and caring for Moses andMartha and they began to thrive. Martha gained weight quickly and Moses started school at Hope International, his first time to ever go to school. Hebecame great friends with the other kids at Mama Catherine's house and now has a whole new family. Last year, Martha started school at Hope Internationalas well! She is in Baby Class and Moses is in Kindergarten. Sixty Feet found Moses and Martha's parents and are working to help bring restoration in all areas of their lives so that they can provide for and love their own children. For now though, it is clear that the best place for Moses and Martha is in Bwerenga with Mama Catherine and Pastor, where they are attending school at Hope International, being taught about Jesus everyday, being fed well-balanced meals, and being loved by so many people! Through the support of Sixty Feet and HIS Love & SONshine, they are able to remain in this loving, supportive environment, where they are thriving as we work towards complete restoration for their family

Rachel GuyWhen Rachel Guy was in elementary school, she was fascinated by children in African countries; her heart was particularly drawn to children who had been orphaned. At the age of twelve, the country of Uganda became the focus of Rachel’s interest and concern when a close family friend, Nancy Wellham, invited her to join her on a mission’s trip there. It was on this trip that Rachel visited Gateway Nursery and Primary school and fell in love with the people there. Four years ago, Rachel was shocked when she was invited to start a ministry for the school. With humility and gratitude, she said, “Yes” to this unlikely adventure with God. Archives
