I wanted each of you to see the school that Gateway had for years and how the Lord provided a new school for them through a church within the tremendous gift of what they have been provided for. I wanted to share a few gifts of what they now have!:)
They now have painted walls, not wood that termites are eating such as the other building.  They now do not have to rent one building and have the other building which is rotting.  They now have a school which is not only new, with higher quality, but also there has been an inner change within the school! Ava Weeks is a missionary in Uganda who visits and invests in the school as she works with Sixty Feet whose prior founders asked me to found a ministry for the school.:)
Ava shares, "School started January 28th at Gateway and next Sunday they will be moving Baby Class through P3 into the ground floor of the new school!!!  They think the top floor will be done by February 15 so the older kids will move in then.

They are no longer renting the house next to the school for the older kids classes, or the playground.  I didn't even realize they had to rent the playground!!  It's going to be a little tricky at first as classes will double up for this week.  Next week when the younger kids move to the new building, the older kids will have their own classrooms in the old school.

The teachers had incredible Biblical training all last week.  They were taught not only how to have a Christ centered life and classroom, but great techniques to use in the classroom.  No more write on the board and have the children copy!"

    Rachel Guy

When Rachel Guy was in elementary school, she was fascinated by children in African countries; her heart was particularly drawn to children who had been orphaned.  At the age of twelve, the country of Uganda became the focus of Rachel’s interest and concern when a close family friend, Nancy Wellham, invited her to join her on a mission’s trip there.  It was on this trip that Rachel visited Gateway Nursery and Primary school and fell in love with the people there.  Four years ago, Rachel was shocked when she was invited to start a ministry for the school.  With humility and gratitude, she said, “Yes” to this unlikely adventure with God.
