Hello everyone, this is Rachel Mary.:) Here’s a His LOVE AND SONshine Update!!:):)
Okay so everyone I want to share some of the new updates in regard to the school!!!:) There was the first graduating class for P7 back in October!!!!:) First off there has been a new change in leadership to the school shared in this blog:http://www.hisloveandsonshine.org/2017/11/photos-and-stories.html Secondly there has been a change to the school’s name.:) The school’s new name is “Gateway Nursery and Primary School”:) My ministry name is still the same. :) We are adding officially board members to His Love and SONshine stateside for the ministry.:) I will share about who is on my board soon. :) So excited and thankful! The school is building a new building!!!! There is awful termite damage in a few of the buildings currently AND the school is running out of space.:) Okay think of your office room and imagine it being a little bit longer in length and then add in 30 plus people! This is what a classroom in Uganda can look like! I am so very very joyful to announce that update!!! Because we merely provide financial aid to fund Gateway Community School they have their dreams that they try to raise funds for by themselves and we pitch in.:) Due to their humility when they have nothing and they give it ALL I wanted to ask if you all would consider contributing a $29 contribution or more :) to His Love and SONshine to see that the school’s new building is funded( in my heart) even sooner than they would expect.:) I have a friend, Ava Weeks, who you will be hearing about in a specific manner in a blog about her as I mention her quite often, is also fundraising for them.:)

Rachel GuyWhen Rachel Guy was in elementary school, she was fascinated by children in African countries; her heart was particularly drawn to children who had been orphaned. At the age of twelve, the country of Uganda became the focus of Rachel’s interest and concern when a close family friend, Nancy Wellham, invited her to join her on a mission’s trip there. It was on this trip that Rachel visited Gateway Nursery and Primary school and fell in love with the people there. Four years ago, Rachel was shocked when she was invited to start a ministry for the school. With humility and gratitude, she said, “Yes” to this unlikely adventure with God. Archives
